| Meimei was rewarded ! ! |
September in 2004, mother panda "Meimei" was rewarded by Japan
Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals for the reasons with "Four
babies were brought up, it raised awareness to the breeding research, and
a large contribution was done to the spread of the animal protection".
Meimei was given relief of the breeding prize also by Japanese Association
of Zoos and Aquariums for the reasons with the first twin babies birth
by natural hybridization in Japan.
Meimei gave birth and brought up her cubs nicely. Sadly, Meimei past away
on October 15, 2008. |
